Rachel Caine è una scrittrice ultra prolifica, infatti ha scritto moltissimi libri e serie. Ho pensato prima di parlarvi di quella di cui è iniziata la pubblicazione in Italia.
1)Il Diario di Eve Rosser (Glass Houses)
Claire Danvers è una matricola di un piccolo college del Texas, che ne ha abbastanza del dormitorio da incubo e delle sue compagne, ragazze molto popolari che non fanno altro che ricordarle il suo status sociale: meno di zero. Quando scappa dal campus, l’antica e imponente casa dove ha trovato una stanza non sembra essere una sistemazione migliore. I suoi nuovi coinquilini non danno segni di vita. This title includes a brand new and exclusive morganville short story only available in this edition. In the small town of Morganville, vampires and humans lived in (relative) peace - until all the rules got rewritten when the evil vampire Bishop arrived, looking for the lost book of vampire secrets. He's kept a death grip on the town ever since. Now an underground resistance is brewing, and in order to contain it, Bishop must go to even greater lengths. He vows to obliterate the town and all its inhabitants - the living and the undead. Claire Danvers and her friends are the only ones who stand in his way. But even if they defeat Bishop, will the vampires ever be content to go back to the old rules, after having had such a taste of power?
7)Fade Out
Without the evil vampire Bishop ruling over the town of Morganville, the resident vampires have made major concessions to the human population. With their newfound freedom, Claire Danvers and her friends are almost starting to feel comfortable again...Now Claire can actually concentrate on her studies, and her friend Eve joins the local theatre company. But when one of Eve's castmates goes missing after starting work on a short documentary, Eve suspects the worst. Claire and Eve soon realise that this film project, whose subject is the vampires themselves, is a whole lot bigger - and way more dangerous - than anyone suspected.
8)Kiss of Death
Questi gli otto volumi editi, ma pare ne faranno seguito altri. Altre serie inedite di questa autrice sono la serie Weather Warden(10 libri ad oggi, i protagonisti sono Warden in grado di controllare gli elementi e che quindi permettono che il clima non cancelli la razza umana dalla terra), Outcast Season(2 libri,), The Red Letter Days(2 libri). Ha inoltre scritto molti libri sotto tre diversi pseudonimi, Roxanne Longstreet, Roxanne Conrad e Julie Fortune.
